Sacramento- Scout is a pretty girl. She is 26 pounds of fun. When she came to us from Tulare Animal Services she was super shy. She got kennel cough and was pretty sick for a week but now that she is better she is integrated with the house and having fun with the other dogs. She loves to play and likes attention. She is very sensitive and so will need someone who uses positive (only) reinforce ment training tactics. She doesn't like to be alone and hates the crate (we are working on that). She loves to be right between your legs or snuggling when she isn't playing. She has shown some prey drive so I don't trust her with my chickens but she is doing fine with the cat. She will likely need slow introductions to other dogs, she is less threatened of small dogs so she is not as nervous, but dogs who won't give her space initially make her nervous. She is pretty true to the behaviors of a whippet (google them!) and I know she is going to make someone very happy. She has an infectious smile and is absolutely beautiful.
