Sacramento- Dewey was at the shelter for over a year, and all the staff loves him.  Unfortunately there was a dog fight when landscaping didn't close play yard gates and he was beat up pretty good. So his tubes are out, he is off his meds and now he needs our help to find him a home and keep him out of the shelter.  

Dewey mostly likes other dogs, but not all dogs like him.  He loves to play with dogs, but is very extra, he likes to pin dogs down and not all like to play that game.  But he isn't doing it to be mean, he is just a big bully who is a little dense.  Mostly, he is a couch potato whose favorite place is a nice bed.  We agreed to take him, while he healed up, but we hate to see him go back to shelter so we are hoping to find him a home with a dedicated and experienced owner.  He would probably be best with a passive dog who likes to play as well (or no dogs at all so he can get all the snuggles).  Before he wound up in the shelter, he was an adored pup who spent so much time cuddling with humans on the couch- so he has lots of experience with this.

​He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready for love!
