Sacramento- Peewee is the smallest dog we have ever had in our rescue! At about 3 years old and only 3 pounds, this tiny guy looks like a tiny baby puppy, but he likes to twerk and do other grown dog stuff.  But his size means that extra precautions need to be considered (no jumping off the couch or else he could break a leg, could be eaten by a predator bird, easy for a small child to injure etc) and we will scrutinize fences and require them to be escape-proof for a tiny guy.  So for this reason we will be pretty strict about where he will be adopted. We will not consider homes with small children, unfenced pools, or dog doors for this guy. He likes other dogs, although is cautious because of his tiny size.  I know everyone thinks micro dogs are super cute and easier, but in so many ways, they are actually a lot more work to keep them safe and healthy.
