Sacramento- Phoebe came to us originally as a baby, from a homeless encampment, so we know she is 5 years old and a mix of cattle dog and lab. Unfortunately, she was adopted but recently her dad died and she ended up at the shelter (where she sat for 3 months until they checked her chip and contacted us about her). Her dad dying was traumatic (it was days before anyone found them) and the shelter was as well. But she is doing so much better already. She is treat motivated and knows some basic commands (sit and shake). She is a bit shy and insecure with new people - but warms up quickly and then is super loyal (and she loves men). We haven’t introduced her to dogs yet, as we believe in decompression and slow intros, but I know she had a dog brother when she was a puppy- although we have not tested her yet. But I think anyone interested in ANY dog should do slow introductions regardless. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
